PARKER……Miles Earl Parker, Jr., 80, passed away on July 15, 2010. Mr. Parker was born on October 31, 1929. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1946 and went on to serve in the Army National Guard. Mr. Parker retired from Southern Bell. He was Commander of American Legion Post 129 eight times and was District Commander of North Florida two times. Mr. Parker is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dick Dixon and Cindy and David Williams; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Robert C. Parker (Ann); sister-in-law, Judy Parker; numerous nieces and nephews; and his American Legion family. A Memorial Service will be held at American Legion Post 129, 1151 S. Fourth St., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 25th.
