Mitchell C. Green was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 4, 1989. From the moment he was born he had to fight to live and he left this World on December 6, 2010 fighting for his life. The Lord needed another angel and called him home. Our family is thankful that the Lord loaned Mitchell to us for 21 years. Mitchell had a heart of gold and a compassionate person. He loved his family dearly and was very protective of us. Mitchell's smile would warm the heart of anyone who saw it. He was also a very funny person and seemed to know just what to say to brighten your day. Mitchell loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bullriding. His other passions were drawing and painting which led him into paint and bodywork. He admired antique cars and dreamed of one day having a GTO. He talked of his desire to go into the Marines and wanted so much to be a part of the Marine Recon Special Ops. He set a goal to obtain his High School diploma and received it in the mail the week of Thanksgiving. Mitchell's plan to serve our country would not come to pass for he was in a single car accident on November 30, 2010, and was transported to Shands Jacksonvillee Trauma Unit with severe brain damage. On December 6, 2010 Mitchell went to be with his Savior and is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Our family has lost a jewel and our hearts are broken, but we find comfort in knowing that he will live on as Mitchell was an organ donor. Mitchell was able to give the ultimate Christmas gift to some people somewhere as he was able to donate his eyes, liver, and kidneys. We loved him and continue to love him, and we know one sweet day we will meet again.
