

Neal was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Glenwood, North Carolina. During the Korean War, Neal joined and served in The U.S. Air Force until the end of the war.
Neal began working for Southern Bell Telephone Company/Bell South/AT&T in 1955 and retired after 30+ years. During this time he met and married Jacquelin (Jackie) Richards and enjoyed 64 years together before her passing in August of 2020.
After retirement, He continued telephone repair and installation with his own company (Neal Morgan, inc.) for another 10+ years.
After his second retirement, he devoted his time and attention to his family, his many friends, and church (First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida).
Neal is survived by his two sons, Michael Morgan and Rick Morgan both of Jacksonville; His sister, Betty Law of Thomasville, Ga. and several nieces and nephews and their families, including his “adopted” granddaughters Holly Valdes and Lindsay Ford (Gentry) and baby son.
Viewing for family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00am on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223, 904-288-0025. Immediately following the viewing, a graveside service will follow at Mandarin Cemetery (family only) with Pastor Steve Clifton Officiating.
