Dear Doug and family, what a shock it was to read Norma obits. in the St. Pete times.
Gus and I want to express our sincere sympathy. Norma and I were very close when we both worked at Superior Uniform, we had so much in common, and really liked each other sharing family stories.  We enjoyed the few times we four got together for dinner and plyed pool at your house. Know that you are in our prayers.

Dear Uncle Doug, I am so sorry that I couldn't be there with you during this time. There was never a day that has gone by that my thoughts and tears weren't of Aunt Norma. 
I will hold onto the real last conversation with her just days before she had entered the hospital the first time.  We had such a great talk, we were laughing and remembering the good times, and she wanted to know all about Madelyn.  Then she prepared me of the things to come, just like a mother would of her daughter.  There are few people like her in this world and she will be missed terribly.  Pete and I are just so thankful that we were able to spend the last couple of years with her. I will never forget Central Park, pizza, the parade, surprising my mom, our mothers day picnic and the both of you braving the elements & then just having her here in our lives really meant the world to me and she was too well loved ever to be forgotten.

Aunt Norma, three weeks ago I made a promise to you and I will always keep that promise. I know now that you'll watch over them. You will always be the other angel on my shoulder sitting next to my beautiful Aunt Helen. You'll always be in my heart. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, you wouldn't let me....just remember to be at those gates to welcome me when we are reunited. My beloved Aunt, I will never forget you.

doug and family...norma sure was a special person.....she will be missed....she was so full of life ..even with a bad prognosis....she always asked about peter....i will miss laughing with her the most.....may you all somehow find some peace in the next few months and know she is not in pain .....love and prayers   mo and peter dever

I remember when we first met March 3, 1962. We  were just 18. We both worked for the New York Telephone Co.  The  day we went bowling.  We bowled 7 games .  Then you became part of my family.  The rest is history.  Will miss and love you always  Chickie.  Doug take care of youself  Love you

I am so sadden by the loss of such a good friend as Norma.  She was truly a very special friend and I am so fortunate to have known her. I will always remember her caring and giving spirit.  She will always have a place in my heart.  Doug and family, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Uncle Doug Ã¢â‚¬â€œ I know there are no words to ease your pain but do know that I Love You!  You and Aunt Norma have always been a special part of my life.  I am honored to have so many wonderful memories, especially of the past few years.  Whether freezing at our Mother's Day picnics or walking the Brooklyn Bridge (and not being able to walk the next day), the smile never left Aunt Norma's face.  And that's what I'll keep in my heart, her smile, her love of life and more importantly her love for you! Even tho I only knew Norma a short time,  I admired her outlook on life. She was going to live each day to the utmost. She was a loving wife and mother and knew it was returned. Dear Doug and Family. Norma was my American sister; I was her Russian sister. We greeted each other as sister. She was family to me. I will miss her phone calls and wisdom advice. I loved her deeply and words cannot express how much I will miss her.

Doug and family - my heart goes out to all of you, Norma was a sweetheart and loved by all at PRIDE during and after the time she worked with us. She had a great sense of humor, I miss her dearly.

I will deeply miss my beautiful Norma- best friend of mine.  she meant so much to me. she will always live on in my heart and soul. she has a piece of my heart that will never leave.  she made me a better person. Taught me to stand up for myself. Even when she was sick she thought about others. She was so proud of her family, husband, sons, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, sisters and their families. It was a privilege to call her friend, but she was also family to me . I told her I would see her again and I believe I will. she is my angel.
