Peggy Louise Parmerter

Peggy L Parmerter 88, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep at home after a long illness. Peggy was in the care of her son Timothy and Community hospice of Northeast Florida. She was born, raised and lived in Jacksonville all her life. She married Russell F. Parmerter on June 5, 1943, they had five sons. She lost her husband in an accident on June 18, 1964 and never remarried. Peggy raised her sons and a grandson, with the help of a small ceramics shop. Her favorite pass time was playing bingo, going gambling on ships with her best friends. Peggy was loved dearly and will be missed by family, friends, especially her two closest friends Beverly and Thelma. She was preceded in death by her parents, only sister Bette Wright Ferguson, two sons Russell F. Parmerter Jr. and Thomas A. Parmerter.

Peggy is survived by three sons John R. Parmerter, Steven W. Parmerter, Timothy C. Parmerter numerous grand children, great- grand children and great- great grand children. Burial will be at Ridaught family cemetery, Clay county. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Gidden funeral home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. Grave site viewing and service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday March 5, 2015.
