

As a veteran of both the US Army and US Navy, Pete was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War, then earned his MBA and joined the Navy as a Naval Officer. He served on the USS Daniel Boone Submarine and USS Independence Aircraft Carrier. He retired in 2014 from Civil Service from the Trident Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA. Pete served 39 years of Active Duty, Reserves and Civil Service for the US Government.
Pete was a dedicated husband to Carolyn, his loving wife of 43 years, together again in heaven. He is survived by his sons, Geoffrey and Marc, two granddaughters, Abigail and Olivia and four brothers, Michael, David, Richard, and John.
A funeral service celebrating Pete’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on October 17, 2025, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends one-hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM. His final place of rest will be the Jacksonville National Cemetery, where a committal service will be held at 1:00 PM.
