Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1934, she was the first of seven children born to Morris and Edith Biller. She relocated to Jacksonville, FL. with Stanley Sprecher, her late husband of "55 years and 2 weeks." Phyllis and Stan had 3 children,9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, a son in law and daughter in law.
Her spirituality and beliefs were her utmost passion. An accomplished seamstress and crafter, she took great pleasure in making highly detailed needlepoint tapestries and elaborate ceremonial articles to be used during worship services at her synagogue. She felt it was an honor and a way to give back to HASHEM for the blessings of her life.
Phyllis spent her life volunteering and giving her time and talents to touch the hearts and lives of so many people.
She spent her her final years at River Garden Hebrew Home, where she felt the kindred of her faith and her people. The care and attention of the staff was beyond that of simply care givers, they were as truly part of our family, for which we are eternally aware and grateful.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20th in New Center Memorial Park Cemetery located at 43rd and Liberty Streets, Jacksonville with Rabbi Yaakov Fisch of Etz Chiam Synagogue as Officiant.
May her name always be for a blessing
