Rebecca Susan Armstrong

Rebecca Susan Armstrong, 43, passed away on October 21, 2014. She was born on May 28, 1971 in Somerville, NJ to Loren and Jeanette Jones. Rebecca graduated from FAU in 1994 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Finance. Soon after graduation, she got a job at SunTrust Bank where she was Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending. Not long after, she decided to settle down and start her family.

Rebecca loved being a mom and would do anything for her kids. She also loved her faith and enjoyed serving others. She was very involved in her church, working as a VBS teacher, Sunday School teacher and also a GA teacher. Her faith was very important to Rebecca and it was something she wanted to instill in others, especially her children.

She is survived by her daughters, Terra, Emily, Ashley, and Krystle Armstrong; son, DJ Armstrong; parents, Loren and Jeanette Jones; and grandchildren, Kaylynn and William.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 24, at Fruit Cove Baptist Church, 501 State Rd 13, St. Johns, FL 32259 with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Maynard officiating. The family requests that those in attendance wear the color yellow in honor of Rebecca.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
