Richard L. Wren passed away on August 25th in Jacksonville as a result of an injury received in his favorite place, Paris, France. Richard was well known in the sailing community both on the water and as the Hobie Cat dealer for Jacksonville. For several years he enjoyed traveling in Europe, especially France. He came to know the game of petanque, playing locally and in France and made many friends playing “boules”. Richard is survived by his brother and sister in law, Bill and Judy Wren, his sister Mary Galvin, many cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends, and by Sylvia Wren.
Service will be on September 13 at 11:30am at San Jose Episcopal Church, 7423 San Jose Blvd, 32217. The family requests donations to Community Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL, 32257. Arrangements under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home.
