Richard Arnold Youngblood Jr.

Mr. Richard Arnold Youngblood, age 76, was lovingly embraced by the Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Born on November 18, 1941 in Jacksonville, Florida. He did it all, served his country in the Army, retired from St Regis Paper, and the State of Florida. Other than his family, Richard had two other great loves in his life the children's ministry at Murray Hill Baptist Church where he taught pre-school age Sunday school and fishing.

Richard lives on through his wife of 54 years, Nancy Lanier Youngblood; his two children, Rica Lill Smith (Mike) and Richard Clayton Youngblood; and four grandchildren Brooke Smith, Kelcy and Colby Dennis, and Madison Youngblood. Not all family is blood. Carson Bachara, Madison's half-brother, also called him Grandpa. Richard also leaves behind Craig and Denise Fox along with their three children Conner, Asher, and Piper who called him Grandpa Richard. He also leaves behind one sister, Janice Churdar, and three brothers, Robert Youngblood (Marjorie), John Steven Youngblood (Barbara), and Robert Lanier (Shirley). After being sick for many years Richard is now healed and at peace.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Murray Hill Baptist Church Pre-school Department.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, December 9 at Murray Hill Baptist Church, 4300 Post Street, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am at church, followed by interment at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
