Rita passed unexpectedly at home of natural causes. She will be buried June 18, 2021 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL at 9:30 a.m. followed by a reception of family and friends.
Rita was married to William (Bill) Joseph Morgan for 57 years before his passing. Bill and Rita traveled the United States as a military family for many years until his retirement from the United States Navy. They settled in Jacksonville for the remainder of their lives. Rita retired from the administrative offices of Florida Junior College in Jacksonville. Her hobbies included cruising with family and friends on Carnival cruise lines, she loved trying her luck on the slot machines and keeping in touch with her sisters - Evelyn (George) Hansen and Cathy Dermody. She leaves behind many loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.
