

Robert Edward Clemons, Sr., 91, passed away September 15, 2010 surrounded by his loving granddaughters. He was born on December 12, 1918. Robert was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in WWII and the European Theatre. He was employed with Parker and Mick Welding & Machine Works with 36 years of dedicated service. He loved surf fishing with his granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Pearl Clemons; daughter, Anne Marie Clemons; son, Robert E. Clemons, Jr.; grandson, Robert E. Clemons, III; brother, Jesse Clemons; sisters, Estelle Sheffield and Joyce Becht. He is survived by his brothers, Woodrow (Kathy) Clemons, Harley (Diddy) Clemons, and Richard (Barbara) Clemons; sister, Loyce (Vernon) Coffman; granddaughters, Trice (Gary) Benge, Dana (Todd) Wilkins, Lisa (Kevin) Jackson, Amy Messer and Melissa (Scott) Baker; daughter-in-law, Carol Clemons; 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends for a visitation from 6-8 pm, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 19, 2010, with Rev. Tom Kiesler officiating.
