He is survived by his sister Barbara Zwiers (Dale), nephew Scott, niece Kelli Clopp (James), great-niece Sophia and numerous other family and friends.
Robert was born in Seattle, Washington (United States). He graduated from Lynden High School (Lynden, Washington) and St. Thomas Seminary (Kenmore, Washington). Robert served his church and his community as a Catholic priest for 12 years, with his main parish being St. Olaf (Poulsbo, Washington) before relocating to Ontario, Canada.
While in Ontario, Robert pursued home healthcare, serving as a Home Health Care Provider. Robert enjoyed spending the days with his patients.
Robert was passionate about history and was never rattled when asked about historical events. He also cared deeply about all those with whom he surrounded himself. Robert will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held in Robert’s honor at a later date in Vashon, Washington. He will be laid to rest in La Conner, Washington.
