

Robert John Isham, Sr. “Bob” 71, longtime resident of Jacksonville, died December 21, 2009. He was born in Binghamton, NY, son of the late John Robert and Gertrude (Engle) Isham. He proudly served as a Marine in his beloved Corps with life lessons he never forgot. Attended Syracuse University and loved the “Orangemen” basketball along with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Proud member of Deke Fraternity, University Club and Mandarin Presbyterian Church.Bob treasured his clients of Isham and Associates, PA. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter since 1973, a member of Financial Service Professionals for 37 years, a member of NAIFA since 1966 and lifetime member of MDRT. He followed the footsteps of his grandfather and father in the insurance industry and served his cherished clients and business associates for 48 years. Loving survivors are his wife, Carol, three sons, Robert (Alana) Isham, Jr., John (Lisa) Isham, David (Melinda) Isham, two step children, Greta Matzen, Max (Mayumi) Matzen, six grandchildren, Katherine, Ashley, Robert, Kaitlyn, Cameron and Julian. Also mourning his loss, his German Shepherd, Rex and many loving friends.Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
