Bobby was born on January 11, 1933 and was the fourth of seven children. After graduating from Homerville High School in Homerville, Georgia, he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he met his wife of 65 years, Betty.
Shortly after marrying, he answered Uncle Sam’s call and served honorably in the United States Army. He returned to Jacksonville after discharge to build a life with Betty having three children; Robert, Jr., Mike and Elizabeth. He worked for JEA for 36 years and was active in his IBEW local.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, three children, Bob Jr. and Carol (spouse) McQueen, Mike and Linda (spouse) McQueen and Elizabeth McQueen, three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jason and Jerica McQueen and two great-grandchildren, Gracen and Truth McQueen.
