Roger Eugene Longley

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over two decades, from August 1960 to May 1983. Following his military service, he pursued higher education at Jacksonville University, where he studied social and behavioral studies. Roger was a man of faith and an active member of Chets Creek Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

On October 23, 2015, Roger married the love of his life, Audrey Longley. Together they shared nine wonderful years of marriage until Audrey’s passing on November 30, 2024. Roger was known for his kindness and compassion, qualities that touched the lives of all who knew him.

Roger is survived by his brother, Jim Ballard; sister, Roberta Conrad, and his son William "Billy" Seablom. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Audrey and other loved ones who have gone before him. His family takes comfort in knowing that Roger has been welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his Lord and Savior.

A celebration of Roger and Audrey’s life together will be held on January 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Chets Creek Church, located at 422 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.

Roger’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of kindness and compassion continue to inspire others.
