Ronald Wayne Gilmour Sr., 87, of Orange Park, FL, passed away 21 Sept., 2017. He was born in Niles, Ohio on 2 July, 1930. He graduated from Niles McKinley High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He served for two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Patricia Anne Loop on 14 June, 1963. He held various positions during his career, including accountant, mens' clothier, and salesman. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL, serving both as an usher and a Sunday school teacher. Later in life, he attended the First Baptist Church of Orange Park.
Ronald is survived by Anne Gilmour, his daughter, Ronald Gilmour Jr., his son, and by his sister Mary Baker, and his brothers William and Charles Gilmour.
A visitation will be held at 10am, followed by funeral services at 11am, Wednesday, 27 Sept., 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville FL, 32207. Burial will follow the funeral services at Greenlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32207.
