Rosa was born on April 8, 1955, in Ramapo, New York, to the late Amparo and Miguel Gonzalez.
Raised in New York, Rosa graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York. Soon after, Rosa married and started her family.
Rosa worked in clerical services for a short time and due to the needs of her disabled son, she became a dedicated homemaker, after a few years she decided to open her heart and home to displaced children and became a foster parent for over 18 years.
She was a beloved mother to six children and 12 grandchildren. She is survived by her six children; Gorge, Erica, Ivette, Yannil, Gabriel and Aaliyah. Her 12 grandchildren; David, Daniel, Mariah, Aiden, Amber, Jasmin, Zander, Chance, Gavin, Micah, Xavier, and Julie. She is also survived by her sister Ada and numerous nieces and nephews.
