

Ruth Lipson Fagan (Jacksonville Fashion Maven) passed away July 11, 2012 following a short illness. Mrs. Fagan was born March 17, 1916 in Oswego, New York and has resided in Jacksonville for over 70 years. She retired from ladies ready to wear retail sales at the age of 82 having worked for Wilman’s of San Marco, Lerner Shops, Lillie Ruben, and Jacobson’s Department Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Manny Fagan. She is survived by her children: Doris Fagan and Steven (Dorothy) Fagan; grandchildren: Marsha (Darrell) Killen, Melanie (Brian) Megenity, Ian (Katherine) Fagan, and Patrick Fagan; great grandchildren: Russell, Isaac, Jenna, Nora, and Samantha Megenity; Lizzie and Thomas Killen; and Colin Fagan and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
She has been a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center for most of her life and spent her retirement years living at the Coves near her close friends, playing bridge, and enjoying life.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery (New Center, 43rd and Liberty) at 10:30 am, Friday, July 13, 2012.
