

Salwa was born on April 9, 1949, in Ramallah, Palestine, to Wadie and Wardeh Dughman. After marrying her husband, Anwar Bishara Farmand, in 1964, they emigrated to the United States in 1965 and settled in Jacksonville, FL.
A selfless and loyal wife and mother, Salwa dedicated her life to her husband and three sons. She was the rock of her family and always provided a loving and safe environment. Salwa loved — and was loved by — everyone she met, always sharing her deeply empathetic nature.
Salwa is predeceased by her mother and father, Wadie and Wardeh Dughman, and her mother- and father-in-law, Bishara Audi Farmand and Elen Bishara Farmand. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Anwar; her three sons: Chris, Jason and Jonathan; her daughters-in-law: Razan, Katie and Jihan; her eight grandchildren: Rami, Hazel, Rhea, Aurora, Nico, Adeeb, Julian, and Serene; her four siblings: Anwar Dughman, Samar Ghannam, Osama Dughman, and Isam Dughman; and many other loving friends and family members.
A visitation for Salwa will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church 3619 Toledo Road A, with a funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207.
