Samuel A. Pope, Jr. 65 of Jacksonville passed away June 3, 2009. The Wheeling, West Virginia had lived in Jacksonville for 35 yrs. coming from Tampa, Fla. He was an Owner/Operator of a Truck Stop. Survivors are: The Mother of his Children; Kay Pope Blair. 6 Daughters; Samantha Feeney, Danielle Cullen Denise Perry, Dena Williams, Shannon Hawkins and Rachelle Johns. 2 Sons: Eric A. Pope (Kathryn) and Daniel A. Hawkins. 1 Sister; Harriet Rhodes (Kenneth). 17 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Niece. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue with Rev. Crystal Riner Officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday (TODAY) at the funeral home.
