Sharon was a proud North Carolina native and an honor graduate from Flagler College in St. Augustine, with a major in English. Sharon loved to write and was an avid reader. She loved music, art and was a musician. She played several instruments, her primary being Tenor Saxophone. Sharon retired from the State of Florida, Department of Revenue in 2007. She maintained contact with many of her coworkers/friends. She recently met many new friends with the Spanish-English Exchange Meet-up Group.
Sharon was predeceased by her father, James Mullis and her brother, David Mullis. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Mullis, brother John Mullis, and sister, Karen Mullis in Jacksonville, FL. As well as her nephew, Robert Mullis (Jennifer) and their 3 sons, Waxhaw, NC, and her niece, Melissa Guskiewicz (Robert) and their 3 sons, Matthews, NC and sister-in-law, Blenda Irby Mullis, Midland, NC. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
