Shirley C. Peeples

Shirley Crowder Peeples, 71, passed away on February 14, 2014. She was born in Jacksonville to the late Vernon Winfred and Eva Phillips Crowder. Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Landon High School. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bunco and attending the Alhambra Dinner Theater with her life time friends. Shirley had many life time friends from her childhood and loved talking to them and sharing precious moments. Preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda Crowder Amos; and her grandson, Justin M. Sweat, Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Jack C. Peeples; beloved daughter, Tracey Peeples Sweat (Jeff Green); granddaughter, Loryn Sweat (Tre Mack); great grandchildren, Tyler Sweat, Justus Sweat, and Harmony Sweat; along with several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18th followed by a Celebration of Shirley’s Life at 11:00 a.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
