Col. Steve Kramarich was a Vietnam Veteran and then a career military officer, with the Ohio Air National Guard, having served 32 years, and gone on multiple international deployments. His command was the
logistics and maintenance of the C-130 aircraft. He was also a graduate of the Air War College. He retired
to Florida in 1996 where he has participated in the Retired Officer's Association. He also has enjoyed playing bridge and golfing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Hilda Mae (Ferrera) Kramarich, his children, Stephen, Scott, Kramarich (Ann), Lori Ann Fernandez (Mike), and his six grandchildren, Catherine, Cameron, Nicholas,
Adrienne, Nolan, and Grace.
He and Hilda met in high school, when they were 15 years old, and family has been the focus and joy of his life. An incredible, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be remembered
humorously, and his life celebrated with joy, as he would have wanted it.
Col. Kramarich will be interred with the honors of a veteran, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, where a private Catholic ceremony will commemorate his life of service and honor to country and family. Any remembrances can be made in his honor to the wounded warrior project.
