Teresa McManus

Teresa “Teri” McManus, 50, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Born on January 30, 1960 in Jacksonville, FL. Teri was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church of Jacksonville, FL. She was a college graduate of The University of North Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education. Teri continued her education career as a First Grade School Teacher. She taught 9 years at Morse Avenue Elementary School of Jacksonville, FL. Later she went to Police Academy School and was employed by the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office as our local Police Officer for 20 years. Teri is preceded in death by her dad, Stuart Quarterman. She is survived by her mom, Nora B. Quarterman; her husband, Bill McManus; her son, Brandon M. Carr; her daughters, Victoria and Allison Carr; 2 brothers, Ronald Quarterman, Larry Murphy and her sister, Essie Smith. The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32244. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, October 15, 2010 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park of Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers you may send memorials to your local Cancer Society.
