Theresa Childers Longino

Theresa Childers Longino, age 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 8, 2023. Theresa was a life-long resident of Jacksonville. She graduated from Bishop Kinny High School in 1977. Theresa graduated from Florida Junior College's Technical Nursing Program in 1981. She practiced nursing for about 26 years. She graduated in 2000 from the University of Phoenix with honors and a bachelor's degree in nursing. At that time, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, an honor of which she was truly proud.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Harold David Childers and Eleanor Childers; her husband of 17 years, Matthew Longino; her Mother-in-Law, Betty Longino; her Father-in-Law Ray Longino; and her three best friends, Teresa Jones, Bonnie Linko, and Maria Ohmstede. She is survived by her Sister-in-Law, Susan Higgins, and her husband Jeff of Peyton, CO.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a vigil service at 6:00 PM on April 19, 2023 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. A funeral mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Road, at 11:00 AM on April 20, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or St. Catherine Laboure Place.
