Timothy Dennis Stack

STACK, Timothy Dennis Stack, 80, passed away on Thursday March 13, 2008 at the McGraw Center for Caring. He was born in Milton, MA on December 1, 1927 to the late Denis and Nora (Morrissey) Stack. He resided in Jacksonville since 1960. Mr. Stack was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He retired from the Kawneer Company as an Architectural Representative after 29 years of service. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Arlington Council #4727 and an Honorary Life Member of the Ponce De Leon 4th Degree Assembly. He was also a Past Grand Knight of the Arlington Council #4727 and past President of Jacksonville Chapter of Producers Council. He was a member of the American Legion Arlington Post #283 and also a past President of the Irish Cultural Association of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denis and Nora Stack; a daughter, Joann Strohlein Gabriel; a brother, James Stack; and a sister, Rita Stack. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sarah Stack; daughters, Barbara (Joe) Nazworth of Fernandina Beach, FL and Teresa (Robert) Bass of Jacksonville Beach, FL; sisters, Mary Benoit of Hingham, MA and Teresa Stack of Hartford, CT; sister-in-law, Elaine Stack of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandchildren, Christie (Joel) Long, William (B.J.) Gabriel, Robin, Casey and Lauren Bass; great grandchildren, Codi, Connor and Carson; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 17th at Christ the King Catholic Church with Fr. Thanh Nguyen, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday March 16th from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. with a Rosary service at 5:00 PM with Msgr. Mortimer Danaher, Celebrant. The family would like to give a special thank you, to the “Teal Team” and staff at the McGraw Center for Caring.
