

He was born Friday, August 1st 1947 to Ruth I. Seiger nee Houser and Elmer Seiger, Jr. in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. After graduating South Lebanon High School, he attended Trinity College. Upon completion of his Theology Degree he attended Tennessee Temple in Chattanooga, Tennessee, finishing his ministerial studies. Throughout his academia years Van enjoyed participating in the yearbook club, running track and performing in theater. He especially enjoyed his studies in hermetic scripture. Throughout his career he served inside and outside the church. A devout man of faith he poured over scriptures, often-times reciting from memory and sharing in its message of God’s love and salvation. He was also a cultural man and intellectual giant passionate in all thing’s literature, history and art. His greatest passion was his never-ending love and support for his family. He will be cherished always.
He is survived by his children Adam Seiger, Aaron Seiger, Kimberly Seiger, Kristen Grano-De-Oro nee Seiger, Karen Isparyan nee Seiger, grandchildren Ava Seiger and Luke Isparyan, beloved sisters Susan Negrete and Leisa Radosavljevic and former spouse Sherry Seiger nee Smith.
Service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel & Oak Lawn Cemetery October 9th 2021 at 2:00pm. All who’ve loved or had the fortune of knowing Van Seiger are welcomed.
