Vivian B Stokes

Vivien Crenshaw Stokes, 87, passed away April 21, 2011 in Jacksonville, FL. Vivien was born October 16, 1923 in Cincinnati, OH. She graduated Robert E. Lee High School, class of 1941. She was a devoted mother and wife and a longtime member of Lakeshore Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting and ceramics, and enjoyed raising her family. Vivien was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Walter L. Stokes, Jr. and her daughter, Laura V. Cochran. She is survived by her two sons, Frank J. Stokes (Susan) and W. Lee Stokes (Mary), 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Monday, April 25, at Hardage-Giddens Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Ave. with the service beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
