
April 21st, 2015. He was born April 23, 1969, Jacksonville, Fl., the son of Jo Ann and Walter Lampe.
He attended John Stockton Elementary and Lee High School and was an active member of the Friar's Club and a communicant of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Through the years, he was employed by his father's firm, Lampe-Roy, and most recently, Gerry Beatty Construction. Walter loved the water - the ocean, the river and the waters of Lake Rabun in North Georgia. He was an expert boater and became a boat captain and many times captained his father's boat, the LIWA-JO IV, to the Abacos and other destinations. His greatest love, other than his family, was the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He spent many happy times with family and friends attending
Georgia football games.

His friends describe him as being a southern gentleman, always generous with his time and willing to lend a helping hand.
He is predeceased by his father Walter M. Lampe and is survived by his mother Jo Ann Green Lampe, his sister Lisa Lampe Rogers (Nathan), his nieces Elizabeth Almeada and Katherine Garland and his nephew Nathan Keadle Rogers. Other survivers include his uncle Diedrich (Lyn) and his cousins Catherine and Kristen.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Tuesday April 28 at 11 a.m., 4129 Oxford Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church or the charity of ones choice.
