Walter was born on November 27, 1923 in Jacksonville, FL.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Walter is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia “June”; daughter, Diane (Brian) Long; 3 grandchildren: John, Walter and Scott Long; and 4 great-grandchildren: Alyson, Flynn, Baillie, and Reagan. He is predeceased by son Walter Lynn Moody Jr. and grandson Brian B. Long Jr.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6-8pm. Graveside service will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Oaklawn Cemetery.
