COKER-JOHNSON........Wanda Carole Coker-Johnson, 50, was born November 21, 1961 and passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was predeceased by her father, James "Pete" Coker, and is survived by her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Coker. Other survivors include her sons, Derek and Tyler Johnson; her brother, James Coker, Jr.; and her sister, Terri Marcum. Wanda was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1979. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida. She was a teacher for 21 years at R. L. Brown and Abess Road Elementary Schools. There will be a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18th at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Community Hospice of N. E. Florida.
