

Wesley B. Mumper passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the age of 95. He was born on February 12, 1918 in Lewistown, PA to the late Albert & Carolyn Mumper. He married Virginia White in 1941 and served in the Army during World War II. Upon his return, they moved from Lewistown, PA to York, PA in 1953 and then to Jacksonville, FL in 1966. He was a long-time member of Mandarin United Methodist Church. Wes was a successful business owner in Pennsylvania and Jacksonville owning a service station for many years and then owning a plant nursery. After retirement, he worked for his church where he was much loved by the staff and the children in the preschool. Wes is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Virginia A. Mumper and brother, Cloyd Mumper. Wes is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sylvia Mumper; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Christopher Lawrence; grandchildren: Kris Stremmel, Jeff Mumper, Julie Holt, Katie Estes, John Moore, Johnna Ferry, Rebecca Feliciano; great grandchildren: Devin Mumper, Madison Mumper, Katelyn Mumper, Matthew Estes, Molly Estes, Jess Stremmel, Max Wertman, Isaac Moore, Gryffin Moore, Christopher Ferry, Steven Ferry, Matthew Ferry, Stephanie Ferry, Allison Jordan, Sam Jordan, Cody Jordan, Isabella Feliciano, Luis Feliciano & Sophia Feliciano. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Westminster Woods on Julington Creek with Chaplain Chris Lawrence officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The I. M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless.
