William Jeffrey "Bill" Arthur

William (Bill) J. Arthur, age 59, of Jacksonville, Florida, died February 16, 2016 in Jacksonville. Born August 8, 1956, Bill was the son of Donald W. Arthur and the late Betty Jane (Palmer) Arthur. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kathy) L. Hoover Arthur; his father, Donald W. Arthur; his stepmother, Laurene S. Arthur; son, Paul J. (Toshua) Arthur; his grandchildren, Gracie, Lily, and Jacob Arthur; his brother, Steve (Jackie) of Nashville, Tennessee, Jon (Debbie) Arthur of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Michael (Wendi) Arthur of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; his nephews and nieces, Ryan (Savannah) Arthur of Nashville, Tennessee, Rebecca (Phillip) Sweet of Franklin, Tennessee, twins, Benjamin and Mackenzie Arthur of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; and grand-nieces Penelopi Sweet of Franklin, Tennessee and Emaline Arthur of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his wife’s daughter, Tiffany Hoover and her children Brantley and Paisley.

Bill graduate from Wolfson High School in Jacksonville and attended Florida State University. He worked in the automotive industry all his life and was most recently Operations Director for RPM Automotive. Bill loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting NASCAR models and building model airplanes. He had a servant spirit and was always willing to help anyone.

Funeral services will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Hendricks Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Avenue at eleven o’ clock in the morning on Saturday, February 20, 2016, with the Reverend Dana Brones, officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, or baptistjax.com
