

William Wieland Dippel, born September 1,1946 passed away on September 26, 2012. He was born in Hoboken, New Jersey to his parents, William & Teresa Dippel, and raised in Pearl River, New York until moving to Madison, New Jersey in 1965. Mr. Dippel graduated from Laurelcrest Prepatory in Bristol, Connecticut and attended Fairlugh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. Mr. Dippel entered the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam where he encountered the Tet Offensive in 1969. His rank was Corporal upon leaving the Marines with two purple hearts and a Navy accomodation medal. In business, Mr. Dippel worked for Gallo Wine sales of New Jersey for 17 years and moved to Florida where he owned and operated Jacksonville Beach Foodland in Jacksonville Beach. In later years, Mr. Dippel worked in the automobile industry (Nimnicht GMC). Mr. Dippel is survived by his son, Scott Philip Dippel (Kristine) and two grandchildren, a brother, Robert and sister, Susan of Vero Beach, FL. A paternal Aunt, Eleanor Armstrong of Ponte Vedra and maternal Uncle, Harold Pintak of Park Ridge, NJ. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fl., 32218. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all docnations be made in his name to Wounded Warriors or Vietnam Vets.
