

His greatest joy in life are his family and friends and bringing laughter into our lives with his quick wit, funny sayings, larger-than-life humor and storytelling. Beneath all the smiles and laughter, is a man who loves Jesus and is dedicated to loving and taking care of his family. He is a veteran of the United States Army and a retiree from CSX. He loves the Atlanta Braves and UGA football, but his passion is bass fishing. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his father, Guy W. Langley (Atlanta, GA), mother, Velma R. Langley (Atlanta, GA), and sister, Ellen Thompson (Fayetteville, GA). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlene and three children: Timothy (Linda) Langley, Conway, AR; Susan (Scott) McLean; and Bradley (Laurie) Langley; his sister, Peggy Aydlett; nieces, nephews, and eight grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all those at Community Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, FL for their wonderful care and support.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 3rd with visitation one hour prior to service in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, with Pastor Steve Clifton, as Officiant, followed by interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville FL 32218.
