William C "Bill" Powell

William C. “Bill” Powell, age 59, of Saint Johns, FL, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. Bill was born March 26, 1962 in Jena, LA to Lamar and Janie Powell. He graduated from Jena High School, Class of 1980 and worked as a Manager & Mentor in the Automotive Tire Business for the last 24 years. On October 15, 1988, he married Lisa Laine Parker. They raised two sons, Ryan and Josh and one daughter, Corri.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Lamar Powell and mother, Janie Powell of Jena, LA and also his grandparents, Robert and Lottie Powell of Jena, LA.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa Laine Powell of Saint Johns, FL; daughter, Corri Powell Brown and her husband, Cody of Jacksonville, FL; sons, Ryan Mayo and his wife, DeLainey of Jena, LA, and Josh Mayo of Pineville, LA; brother, Buddy Powell and his wife, Margaret of Aimwell, LA; sisters, Janet Hopkins of Jena, LA and Donna Wilson and her husband, Lynn of West Monroe, LA; and 12 GRAND-babies, Nathan, Chloe, Carli, Lana, Gabby, Canaan, Parker, Jennifer, Josh, Michael, Emma and Sophie. He also leaves behind MUCH LOVED nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Bill’s Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Eulogy will be given by Lynn Wilson from Monroe, LA at 6:30pm with friends sharing memories of Bill afterward.
