

Although his permanent residence was in Jacksonville, Florida, his "happy place" was at his cabin in Lake Lure, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Clemson University, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Pressley was a long time member of the Pulp and Paper industry. He was a member of Mandarin Presbyterian Church. His favorite past time was sitting on his porch at the lake or in his garage at home and telling old stories and surrounding himself with friends and family.
Mr. Pressley was the son of the late William Blaine Pressley and Georgia Hamrick Pressley. He is also preceded in death by his brother George Hamrick Pressley and his loving wife of 50 years, Kay White Pressley. He is survived by his brother, Thomas A. Pressley; his children Meredith Vizcaino, Sherrill Thigpen (Joey), and Billy Pressley (Jennifer); grandchildren Alan Vizcaino (Kelsey), Christopher Vizcaino (Katelyn), Ashley Williams (Zach), Lindsay Thigpen, JD Thigpen, and Victoria Pressley; and great-grandchildren Braylen Vizcaino and Haisley Vizcaino.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 2501 Loretto Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests to please designate memorial contributions to Community Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeast Florida.
