William Frederick Smith

William Frederick Smith, also known as Fred/Freddy, 68, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2022. Fred was predeceased by his father Bill Smith and mother Patsy Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Dunn (husband Tim), his son, Justin Smith (wife Corey), his grandchildren, Mason, Makayla, Jackson, and Jameson; his brothers, Bobby Smith (wife Margaret), Gary Smith (wife Bonnie), his sisters, Deborah Owen (husband Russ), Michele Gregerson, and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many close friends who were like family to him.

Fred was born May 26, 1953, in Jacksonville, FL where he lived his entire life. He was a staple in the Jacksonville roofing industry for over 40 years. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and strong work ethic. Fred had an avid love for fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Fred always had the ability to make you laugh. He lived his life to the fullest by doing what he loved. He will be greatly missed by many.

A Celebration of Life & Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 4-8 p.m., at The St. Augustine Gun Club, 401 Gun Club Road, St. Augustine, Florida 32095. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
