William D. Whittle

William Davie Whittle, age 77, of Jacksonville, FL died November 14, 2014. He graduated from Jacksonville University and served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy for four years as a Pilot. He was a Chemical Plant supervisor for 34 years. His second career was as a Professional Photographer. In his later years, he touched the lives of many people as one of Santa's helpers. He was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church.

Mr. Whittle is predeceased by his parents, William and Lura Whittle, and his brother, Robert Whittle. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Selma Whittle, daughters, LeaAnn (Michael) Luter and Elizabeth (Chris) Dent, and son, Stephen Whittle; brother John (Cindy) Whittle and sister Linda (Tommy) Clark; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be at 11:00am, Thursday November 20th at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church, 1735 Leonid Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, with Father Paul Smith presiding. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church.
