

He was born on May 2, 1955 to Tung-Chung Chen and Lin Shui-Yin Chen in Taipei, Taiwan.
Yung Fa met his wife while working together in Taiwan; he was a builder and she was a realtor. They had four children: Ihsuan Maynard, Jeanie Horne, Shelly Rowell and Chung Yi Chen.
Yung Fa showed his love through his passion for cooking. A few years after moving to the United States he opened his first restaurant with his wife. Through years of success, they opened another restaurant. He worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family to offer a better future for his children and grandchildren. In the end, he loved his grandchildren and loved every moment with them.
Yung Fa is preceded in death by his wife, Shau Ling Chen and parents, Tung-Chung Chen and Lin Shui-Yin Chen.
Yung Fa is survived by: son Chung Yi (Brandi) Chen; daughters Ihsuan (Brandon) Maynard, Jeanie (Brian) Horne and Shelly (David) Rowell; grandchildren Caden Chen, Ethan Maynard, Curtis Horne, Dylan Cummings, Brandon Maynard and Billie Maynard; grandpets Dallas Horne, Nori Rowell, Koda Rowell and Nixon Chen; sisters Lee Yueh (Thomas) Schmidt, Kelly Chen, and Lee Ching (Dennis) Chen.
A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville Florida on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 10:00am.
