Barbara Rivers Lashley

Barbara lived a full life with her husband Bill Lashley (Peanut Man) enjoying over 50 years of marriage, who passed before her in 2009. She loved her family and leaves behind her five children Kathy & husband Kenny Dunham of Kinston, Christine & husband Larry Moody of Morehead City, Cheryl & husband Nathan Knighton, Billy Lashley & friend Debbie, and Ron Lashley & wife Leann all of Jacksonville. Eleven Grandchildren and Twenty Great Grandchildren. Barbara had a huge and giving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry O. Rivers and Emma Rivers, and Husband, William “Bill” Lashley.

A private memorial service will be held Thursday at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00pm, with Rev. Jack Marshburn officiating.

“Heaven looks sweeter with the passing of each loved one and feels a lot more like home.”
