Graveside service will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10 a.m., Oak Hill Cemetery, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Reverend Alan Beasley will officiate.
He was a retired general surgeon who practiced at Walker Baptist Hospital for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Birmingham Southern College and the University of Tennessee Medical School followed by a surgical residency at Carraway Methodist Hospital. He was a board certified member of the American College of Surgeons and also a member of Jasper First Methodist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and DeLois Richardson and brothers, James Richardson and Ed Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Richardson; stepchildren, Mary Hollis Keiger (John) and James Kerr Bowman II; sister, Darlene Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
