Dorothy Burton, 92, of Scottsboro formerly of Jasper, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Hospice Family Care. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be at New Prospect Cemetery. Dr. Ryan Johnson will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Burton; parents, Frank Graydon Borden and Katie Mae Fike Borden; siblings, Keith Fike Borden, Neil Parke Borden, Frank Edward Borden, Kenneth Ray Borden, Johnnie Mack Borden, Beverly Ann Borden, and George Stanley Borden; and in laws, Jeff Stiefel.
She is survived by her children, Michael Wayne Burton (Debra Ann), Pamela Ann Stiefel, and Janet Elizabeth Burton (Steven Robinson); grandchildren, Amy Leigh Speegle, Joshua Seth Burton, and Sarah Elizabeth Spence, sister, Sandra Gayle Epperson; multiple great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
