
Eva Gail Thompson, 69, of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at Brookwood Baptist Health - Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, from 9 until 11 a.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at 11 a.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Tex Ergle will officiate. Eva Gail was employed by Walker County Bank and Colonial Bank of Jasper for more than 30 years. She is remembered fondly by many customers during those years for her warm smile and kindness to all. She kept busy during her retirement with family and friends and loved to share her talent for arranging flowers for all to enjoy. Eva Gail was a member of Jasper First United Methodist Church since childhood. She was a steady presence for so many who loved her and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jerry Scott Thompson; and parents, Ralph Kilgore and Virginia Hiller Kilgore.She is survived by her husband, Jerry Thompson; sisters, Jan Rowland (Ryan), Kathie Hendricks (Brian); brothers-in-law, Larry Thompson, Albert Thompson; and a host of many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Don Kilgore, Roger Hill, Joe Brown, Jeff Donaldson, Jimmy Hill, Todd Lee, Todd Thompson, Ed Lay, Donnie Jones, and Stan Brandon.
