Graveside service will be held at Walker Memory Gardens, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2 p.m., with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Mike Kilgore and Cody Kilgore will officiate.
Homer enjoyed over 69 years of marriage with his wife Norma. He loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He was an avid hunter; he especially loved turkey hunting with his son Mike and son-in-law Tommy, along with deer hunting with his wife. Homer was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a retiree of Drummond Coal Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Kilgore and Willie Lee Poe Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Kilgore; children, Pat Kilgore Blackwell (Tommy) and Michael Kilgore (Jeri); grandchildren Kelly Blackwell Kell (Nick) and Cody Kilgore; sister, Lorez Thrasher and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mike Kilgore, Cody Kilgore, Tommy Blackwell, Nick Kell, Jay Blackwell and Glen Kell.
