A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at Oakhill Cemetery at 1 pm. David McVay will be the minister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Grace Lowe; daughter, Melissa Jan McGowen; parents, Moses and Effie McGowen; siblings, Thelma McGowen, Hoyt McGowen, George (Sug) McGowen, Charles McGowen, Bob McGowen, Clyde McGowen and Joel McGowen.
He is survived by his daughter, April Bertrand; grandchildren, “Nicki” Alison Thacker (Eric) and Brooke Holiday (James); and siblings, June Jones and Betty McVay.
