James Lloyd Tidwell, 77, of Nauvoo, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, at his residence. His funeral service was conducted Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home, in Jasper, with Randy Key and Brent Winters officiating. Burial was in the Philadelphia Deliverance Full Gospel Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Margaret Tidwell; grandparents, Oscar and Pinkie Tidwell and Shirley and Katie Myers; sister, Shirley Tidwell Hilton; brother, Terry Tidwell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lenward and Radine Tittle. Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Skipper” Tittle Tidwell; daughter, Selena Gunnels (Tony); sons, Michael Tidwell (Deidra), Jarrod Tidwell; grandchildren, Chris Gunnels (Kendall), Brian Gunnels (Kayla), Matthew Tidwell, Heath Tidwell, Nick Tidwell, Jacob Tidwell, Alex Earnest, Tia Moore (J.D.); great-grandchildren, Kensley, Adelynne, Paxton, Pyper Gunnels and Jasmine Moore; sisters, Glenda Key (Randy), Diane Noles (Bobby), Teresa Tidwell Greek; sister-in-law, Shirley Tidwell; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
