A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Curry Cemetery, directed by Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Bro. Adam Darty will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Opalene Darty; great grandson, Lucas Higginbotham; parents, Sam and Rose Darty, siblings, Beverley Smith, David Darty, Don Darty, Terry Darty and Dale Darty.
He is survived by his children, Joe Darty (Tina), Mike Darty (Vicki), Tim Darty (Misty), and Sherry Darty Henslee (Ken); grandchildren, Beth Walker (Jeremy), Joey Darty (Emily), Ryan Darty, Sharae Manasco (Zac), Makenzie Parker (Chase), Alex Darty, Blake Darty (Caleigh), Britney Williams (Billy) and Niki Higginbotham (R.J.); 19 great grandchildren, special great granddaughter, Kyla; brother, Sammy Darty and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Asher Parker, Knox Manasco, Mason Darty, Brooks Darty and Stevie Williams.
Pallbearers will be Joey Darty, Bentley Miller, Ryan Darty, Zac Manasco and Blake Darty.
