Maxine Joyce Courington, age 91, passed away peacefully, leaving behind cherished memories for her family and friends. Born to the late Minyard Earl Courington and Eva Mae Courington, Maxine dedicated her life to her passions and her loved ones.
A proud graduate of Birmingham Southern College, she devoted her life to music, teaching piano, and sharing her talent at Boldo Methodist Church, where she played for many years. Though she never married and had no children, Maxine was surrounded by a close-knit family of cousins who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16th, at 12pm at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow, where friends and family will come together to honor her legacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl M. and Eva Mae Courington.
She is survived by her nephew, Shawn Fleming; niece, Debbie Todd and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace, Maxine. You will be forever missed.
